It’s Fall Planting Time 2021

Categories:

Now that Summer is over and school has started it’s time for you to plant your Fall gardens.  We have been busy at the store lately so we know some of you have been planting as our starter vegetable plants and herbs are flying out the door!  Thanks for your support!

Strawberry plants have arrived from Canada and this Season we are planting Brilliance,  Florida Beauty, Radiance and Sensation varieties, all equally good tasting berries!  We started with 7,000 plants.  Strawberries can be planted in our area until December.  We recommend planting 6 plants in a regular box and 3 plants in a junior size.  We recommend reducing the Domomite to no more than a 1/2 bag in the regular box and leaving it out completely in a junior box.  We use a Slow Release fertilizer which is a 15-5-10 and use 1/2 a bag in standard and 1/2 to 1-3 of bag in a junior box.

We have added 2 videos to show you how to plant the strawberries.

With the weather starting to cool off it’s a great time to start tomatoes, peppers, and plenty of other veggies.  We have cool weather plants such as lettuces, kale, spinach, and other leafy vegetables.  Also, have broccolini, Swiss chard, broccoli, mustards, collards and of course herbs.

As far as flowers  we have geraniums, petunias, begonias and gazanias.

Looking forward to seeing you come by, the garden is starting to produce some gorgeous vegetables!
Happy EarthBox Gardening!

  1. Thanks I’ll be by tomorrow! Tomato hornworms ate all my Charger and Loretta plants I had planted, so I’ll be buying more and hoping for better tomatoes this time.
